Upon successful completion of all course requirements students will receive an American Montessori  Society  Infant/Toddler Credential


ADMISSION   REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for the  Infant/Toddler Credential holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. An Associate Infant/Toddler Credential may be given to students who do not have a 4-year college degree. Candidates for the Associate  Infant/Toddler Credential must complete all requirements for the program in which they are enrolled, and may not  represent themselves as   holding an  Infant/Toddler Credential. Holders of the Associate  Infant/Toddler Credential are strongly encouraged to submit proof that they are in  process toward attaining their 4-year college degree. Teachers with an Associate  Credential are eligible for the Infant/Toddler Credential when the 4-year college degree requirement has been completed and an official college transcript is sent to the certifying agency.

ADMISSION  REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for the Elementary 1 Credential (6-9) must hold a minimum of a bachelor degree from an accredited institution.

  • Two official copies of college transcripts mailed to SMTTI
  • Copies of Montessori diplomas and/or state teaching certificate if applicable.
  • Three letters of recommendation – 2 professional and 1 personal, (form provided in application package) please send directly to SMTTI.
  • An essay discussing your interests & expectations of a Montessori teacher education program.
