IT – Music, Art, Massage & Aromatherapy

This course covers the rationale for music in the curriculum; rhythmic, vocal, and instrumental skills; and music appreciation and history. It also covers Montessori’s rationale
This course will introduce the student to developmentally appropriate art practices with Infant and Toddler children. They will discuss Philosophy & rationale, basic skills, multi- dimensional work, and art appreciation. Students will take a hands-on approach to art.
Massage & Aromatherapy
This course introduces the students to the beneficial aspects of healing touch, includes demonstration and practice. Students will cover an array of therapeutic oils and their benefits for mood, sensory stimulation, and health.
This course emphasizes the importance of the extension of the Montessori environment to the outdoors for gross motor, heavy lifting, continued care of environment through water and other work, sensory stimulation, development of biophilia and multiple intelligences.
