Introduction to a broad range of special needs and learning challenges that may be exhibited by the students
Special Needs (Practicum Seminar)
This Special Needs overview will include a general introduction to a broad range of special needs and learning challenges that may be exhibited by the students in the adult learner’s classroom. The instructor will speak to the challenges and successes that may be attained in a Montessori classroom for the children who are not conventional learners. The instructor’s qualifications and expertise in the Montessori elementary classroom will lend a supportive hand to the adult learners who may be dealing with similar challenges in their classrooms. This will be accomplished through class discussion, sharing current research in the area of brain development and special needs, (by instructor as well as by adult learners in class) hand-outs and sharing of resources in this area.
